New Music: August Alsina – ‘Hip-Hop’

Started from the bottom, now he’s here. August Alsina gets back on his grind with his new single “Hip-Hop.” On the soulful street anthem, which samples Naughty by Nature’s ’90s classic “Hip Hop Hooray,” he reminisces on the past (“Only four years old when Biggie got shot”) and looks to better days ahead.“I pray for more better days / I know that I can feel change,” he sings.
August is in the studio working on the follow-up to his 2014 debut Testimony.

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy are reppin’ H-town, while promoting dental hygiene. Bey posted an adorable GIF on Instagram of her and her three-year-old daughter rocking matching round shades with floss picks in their mouths. Blue even throws up the peace sign, while a chopped-and-screwed song with the lyrics “flossin'” and Jay Z’s ad libs plays in the background (could it be something new?).NEWS:Video: Kendrick Lamar – ‘King Kunta’

Compton stand up. Fresh off premiering the video on the Jumbotron in Times Square and at L.A. LIVE, Kendrick Lamar puts on for his city in the video for “King Kunta.”The West Coast kingpin takes it back to his ‘hood in the X-directed clip, which was shot throughout his hometown last month. He performs atop the Compton swap meet while fans cheer him on, takes his rightful throne, and even C-walks through the streets and the local liquor store. The whole city came out to show Kendrick love and members of his crew also make cameos.
His album To Pimp a Butterfly remains No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a second week with 123,000, bringing his two-week total to 447,000.
NEWS:Tyga Served with Summons at Sneaker Release

Tyga just got served. While launching his new sneakers in L.A. on Tuesday, the “Rack City” rapper was served with legal papers.It all happened at Shiekh Shoes on Hollywood Blvd. where Tyga was unveiling his “Liquid Gold Lights” sneakers for L.A. Gear (via TMZ).
The sneaky server happened to be among the fans, who stood in line for him to sign their shoes. He waited for two-and-a-half hours, bought two pairs of gold sneakers at $120 each, and had them signed before hitting Tyga with the legal docs. Once he served him, an unknowing Tyga still took a photo with him.
NEWS: Ludacris and Luke James Perform ‘Good Lovin” on ‘Ellen’

From “The Tonight Show” to the “Today” show, Ludacris’ schedule has been non-stop as he promotes his new album Ludaversal and film Furious 7. On Tuesday, the rapper-actor paid a visit to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”Following an introduction from his Furious 7 co-star Vin Diesel, he performed his Ludaversal single “Good Lovin'” with help from Luke James, who filled in for Miguel.
