Mark your calendars. A decade after releasing his seminal debut, The Game will drop his sixth album The Documentary 2.The sequel to 2005’s The Documentary will arrive on June 30, the Compton rapper revealed to REVOLT (via Miss Info).
He had originally planned to release it earlier in his career. “I feel like I could’ve released it after The Documentary, but 10 years later seems perfectly fine,” said Game. “It’s my sixth album, my sixth solo album, and I think that the 10th anniversary is huge. And so why not put it out 10 years later?”
The release date coincides with the birthday of his oldest son Harlem, who appeared on the original Documentary cover. “The actual Documentary 2 is going to drop on my son’s birthday, June 30, ’cause I think it’s big. It’s kinda perfect timing,” said Game.
