New Music: Trey Songz – ‘Slow Motion’

Trigga is back for 2015. The R&B heartthrob serves sex on a platter with his latest bedroom banger “Slow Motion.” Over a clapping beat, he coaxes his girl to come out her clothes and hit the sheets.
“We can take our time / Baby, in slow motion,” croons Trey on the seductive jam.
He will join Chris Brown on their “Between the Sheets Tour,” which kicks off Jan. 28 in Hampton, Va.
Take it nice and slow with Trigga.

New Music: Lil Wayne – ‘Sh!t (Remix)’

It’s Tunechi time. While we wait for Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne is holding fans over with his upcoming mixtape Sorry 4 the Wait 2. The Young Money chief comes back swinging on the first release, a remix to Future’s “Sh!t,” on which he apologizes to his fans for the wait and promises not to let them down.
“I’m bumpin’ Carter V on the iPod / My bitch mad as hell ’cause it ain’t out yet / She said soon as these ni**as see your new shit / They gon’ have to give their styles back,” he raps.
He also addresses his highly-publicized fallout with Birdman and Cash Money. “Did my time at Cash Money / Time served and released, but this agent ain’t free.”

Video: Common & John Legend – ‘Glory’

Fresh off their win for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, Common and John Legend debut the video for “Glory” off the Selma soundtrack. In between powerful scenes from the civil rights drama starring David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey, and Common himself, the Chicago MC preaches to the people, while Mr. Legend plays piano.
Selma has awakened my humanity,” said Common during his acceptance speech on Sunday. “We look to the future and we want to create a better world. Now is our time to change the world. Selma is now.”
Common and John Legend may soon be adding more awards to their mantles. On Thursday, they will find out if they are nominated for an Oscar when the Academy Awards nominations are announced.

Video: Beastie Boys feat. Nas – ‘Too Many Rappers’

In 2011, the Beastie Boys collaborated with Nas on a song called “Too Many Rappers” for their final album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. Four years later, an unreleased video has surfaced via film editor Neal Usatin (via Pitchfork).
Directed by Roman Coppola, the grainy clip features footage of the late MCA, Ad-Rock, Mike D, and Nas on the road and rapping through the aisles of a grocery store.
“One, one, two, two, three, three / Too many rappers and there’s still not enough MCs.”

New Music: Dawn Richard – ‘Castles’

On Jan. 15, Dawn Richard returns with Blackheart, her second album in a trilogy. Today she has liberated a new track called “Castles” (via Yahoo! Music). On the airy ballad, penned by Dawn and produced by Swagg R’Celious, the former Danity Kane member sings about a foundation that wasn’t built to last.
Dawn tells Rap-Up that the song was written about her relationship with Danity Kane (more on that in our interview later this week).
“Built towers of dreams just to live carefree / We knew it wouldn’t last, but we kept hope as our lead.”
To celebrate the album release, Dawn will perform songs from the Black Era at shows in New York (1/22), L.A. (2/5), and San Francisco (2/7).

Jana January 11 ilikuwa shangwe pale Kigamboni, kama ulikosa nafasi kuwa mmoja ya waliojitokeza kumpa shangwe la nguvu mkali huyu nakupa time kuenjoy na picha hizi ambazo nilikupigia jana wakati Linex akitoa burudani kubwa kwa watu wake pale Club Kakala, Kigamboni Dar.

NEWS; Common and John Legend Win Best Original Song at Golden Globes

It was a glorious moment for Common and John Legend at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards. The rapper and singer took home the prize for Best Original Song for “Glory,” their contribution to the civil rights movie Selma.
They beat out the competition including Lana Del Rey’s “Big Eyes” from Tim Burton’s movie of the same name, Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Sia’s “Opportunity” from Annie, and Kronos Quartet and Patti Smith’s “Mercy Is” from Noah.
Prince presented the award to them during the 72nd annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. During his powerful acceptance speech, Common thanked director Ava DuVernay and producer Oprah Winfrey.
