Big
K.R.I.T. participated in a live Q&A session that was driven by
HipHopDX’s readers on the site’s Facebook page today (November 14).
During the session, the Meridian, Mississippi rapper answered a variety of questions from fans on a number of topics.
Responding to a question asking which artist from the
South has been his biggest inspiration, Big K.R.I.T. pointed to a Texas
rapper.
“thats hard to say,” Big K.R.I.T. explains. “I would say
Bunb because i know him personally and hes giving me so much positive
advice and insight in this game”
Continuing on the theme of the South, Big K.R.I.T. says the region has had a sizable impact on Hip Hop.
“a tremendous impact!!!!” he says. “from the soulful samples with hard 808 drums to the chopped and screwed vocals!”
Discussing his creative process in the studio, Big K.R.I.T. explains where he finds inspiration from.
“i normally vibe out to old school records at first,” he
explains. “Then i think about conversations i had with people. try to
draw inspiration from real life topics and experience”
